A Letter From Our Board of Directors

Dear Friend,

For 53 years, the Lee & Beulah Moor Children’s Home has provided the children and families in the El Paso region a “hand to hold onto during difficult times.”

The home has been a steadfast refuge of hope for more than 25,000 disadvantaged, neglected, and/or abused individuals. Many who we have served call us “home” for years after they leave our doors. The loving stability they find at Lee & Beulah Moor Children’s Home carries on throughout their lives and into the lives of their own children. Where there was once despair, there is now hope, and with it, an opportunity to achieve goals and dreams.

As El Paso has grown, the demand for our services is greater than ever. We have a waiting list for our residential services and frequently must turn children away. These are children with real needs who are experiencing physical and sexual abuse, neglect, broken homes, and/or substance abuse. They need a safe place to learn, grow, and overcome difficult life challenges. We need to build our capacity to be able to serve these children—now and in the future.

In addition, the existing cottages that are home to the children in our care are in need of repairs and updating. These cottages need new kitchens and bathroom facilities, new carpet, and furniture. It’s time for an investment in the future of Lee & Beulah Moor Children’s Home.

As we enter our 54th year of service and commitment to El Paso’s children and their families, we come to you for help. Join us as a member of the Lee Moor family and assist us in our efforts to build two new homes for 16 children who are awaiting our services. Help us make necessary repairs and updates to our existing cottages so that our children can be comfortable and safe.

We are ready to build these new cottages, and have already raised half of the funds needed. We own two lots adjacent to our campus on the corner of River and Octavia Streets. We ask that you assist us in any way that you are able. We are accepting donations of both cash and in-kind goods and services to make these cottages a reality.

Whether you can offer building materials, architectural services, plumbing, landscaping, or a monetary donation to support this effort, your gift is gratefully and truly appreciated. We are a 501(c)(3) organization and all donations are tax-deductible.

Won’t you reach out and help us provide a home for a child?

Yours very truly,
