I DON’T FEEL REAL
I don’t have my mom and dad.
Some people say that’s not so bad.
But to me it’s a very big deal.
Because right now I don’t feel real.
I sometimes have the old bad dream.
And many times I want to scream.
But my feelings I usually conceal.
And this because I don’t feel real.
Until I know where I truly belong,
My life will always feel so wrong.
I have a bed and I have a meal,
But in my life, I don’t feel real.
I thank God for those who love me,
Even if they’re not my family.
But to God I want to kneel
And ask Him that I’ll soon feel real.
And when I am in my parent’s care
And can see that I’ll be staying there,
No longer moving like a wheel,
I’ll thank God I now feel real.
